Some people hear ‘white privilege’ and think you’re calling them Bull Connor. They have no idea about the generational benefits which have brought them to their current positions of power in society.
That power comes in all forms — even if it’s simply the ability to live life without being over-policed. On Youtube, there’s a video by Calvin Michaels where he speaks on the issue of white privilege. You should really watch it because the video is everything I’ve ever wanted to say, but was too hot-headed to think about.
